What do you love about what you do at NH?
I love that I get to support all the different ministries New Hope Church has in place to serve its community and the community in our city. I also love that I get to welcome some of the people who come through our doors for the first time.

What year did you join staff?
2024

How did you come to know Jesus?
I came to know Jesus through my parents. And I don’t only mean through their words and teachings. My parents’ lives, conduct, character, and actions, even in the midst of their failures, pointed me to Jesus all my life. As I got older and began to study God’s Word on my own, I could only confirm what I had heard and seen growing up. When my siblings and I were really young, my parents decided that raising us was the most important ministry they could be a part of and that if they could only teach us one thing, it would be who Jesus was and what He was like. I am forever thankful for their decision.

What’s your favorite Bible verse?
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

(I like to read it only two to four words at a time and stop and think of all the implications of what I just read, and what it means. Give it a try!)

What is your best childhood memory?
Doing life in a very remote area of the world along with my family and having God’s creation as our playground to explore. My siblings and one mango tree were all I needed to have the best day ever.

What do you think is the greatest invention of all time?
The writing system. I am not sure exactly where it all began, but being able to communicate in written form through alphabets, symbols, textures, and other tools revolutionized societies, which is why we can enjoy reading God’s Word, great books, and for you, reading these staff bios!
