Worship

Come Join New Hope’s Palm Sunday Choir!

Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, February 21st (not February 14th, as previously announced). The time will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and continue weekly on Wednesdays until Palm Sunday, March 24th. There will also be a rehearsal at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23rd. All rehearsals will be in the auditorium at New Hope. For those of you with experience singing in choirs, besides really looking forward to singing with you, I want to let you know in advance that this choir will be closer to a worship team experience than a traditional choir experience. It’ll still be loads of fun, though! Please let me know if you are planning on singing by emailing me at [email protected].

Looking around New Hope’s website, you’ll find information on our various ministries. Ministries that include caring for the hungry right in our community, providing for orphans in other countries, and coming alongside homeless single mothers and widows. You can see how valuable we view our children, and how we take great care to see they are raised in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Our website also explains what we believe to be our four main biblical purposes—worship, loving, learning, and prayer. You’ll find biographies of our brothers and sisters in Christ who have ventured out to other cultures and people groups for the sole purpose of bringing and declaring the hope of faith in Jesus. You can read the story of how New Hope came to be and how God has been faithful to us as we have grown in the last few years. There are invitations to join in prayer. There is testimony here to the very real miracles that have happened among us, undeniable evidence of God’s fulfilled promise to be strong through His church.

What do these things have to do with worship? Well…we worship in all these things! Remembering, working, receiving, learning, pursuing, praying, listening, ministering, being amazed, being awed, being humbled, giving, going, teaching, singing. All of these are our acts of worship! To believe “worship” is a 60-90 minute exercise once a weekend is to limit God’s call for our worship to such a degree that we should probably find a different word to describe it. The worship of God the Father, Son, and Spirit by the power of that same Spirit is to be a living sacrifice. It is to recognize both God’s magnificent craftsmanship in creation and His sustaining grace that gives each of us our every breath. It is to sing His praise both out of obedience to His Word and the overflow of His presence in our lives.

We really hope you join us for a service sometime soon.

We meet together Sundays at 9:00AM & 11:00AM. We will participate in a lot of the activities mentioned above. But mostly, we meet for the hope and strength and understanding to be greater worshipers every other hour of the week.

To God be ALL the glory forever and ever!
