What do you love about what you do at NH?
Although the fun and games are amazing, I absolutely love being a voice to remind the students of who God says they are and reminding them of the freedom in Christ they have been invited to live in.

How did you come to know Jesus?
I grew up in a Christian home, and when I was 6, we attended a play where I accepted Christ as my Savior. But it wasn’t until many years later that I would discover that I had gained a new identity that day. I went to Bible school after high school, where I started learning about what it means to no longer be a slave to sin. My eyes were opened, and I understood that when I asked Christ to be my Savior, I was given every blessing, given a belonging to the family of God, given His Spirit that never leaves, and helped me continue to discover through the Bible who God really says I am. I met my husband there as well, and we have loved every minute of growing with God ever since.

What’s your favorite Bible verse?
“I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.'” Psalm 16:2

What was one of your most defining moments in life?
It was when we came off the mission field. I understood in a very real way that my identity wasn’t bound to what I did but to who God says I am.

What childish thing do you still enjoy?
I still love getting gumballs from gumball machines. There’s just something nostalgic about biting into a hard, stale gumball that loses its flavor in one minute.
