In reference to God and humans, Luke 2 reads this way: 14…on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased. Luke 2 -- Many people already feel God is not pleased with them, and reading that statement from the angel only amplifies their anxiety. If that’s your thought, please read Luke 2 fully and discover that God is actually extending an invitation to the very individuals who feel separated. He goes out of His way to extend the invitation so that relationship with Him can be restored! The overarching truth of the Christmas story is this: God being "pleased with us’" does not begin until Jesus comes into our world.
