What do you love about what you do at NH?
I love God’s command for us as Christ followers to follow Jesus’ example in His love and care for people. We can only do this for each other because he loved and cared for us, first. I was invited onto the New Hope Staff to come alongside and continue coordinating a spirit of love and care, in action, within our New Hope church family. It is my work and my pleasure.

What year did you join staff?

How did you come to know Jesus?
I came to know Jesus when I was very young at a backyard Bible club. A beaded bracelet with specific colors and Bible stories on a felt board explained who God was and who I was and why I needed a Savior. And, a teacher overflowing with the love of Jesus put those truths on display. The comfort of these biblical truths and promises and the inner beauty of my teacher overwhelmed my heart and drew me in immediately to my Savior.

What’s your favorite Bible verse?
Romans 11:36, “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever.”

What is something I would like to do the old fashioned way?
I would like to go to bed when the sun sets and awaken when the sun rises. I would like to walk everywhere instead of drive. I would like to wash and dry the dishes with a family member. Hang clothes on a clothesline, be on a phone with a cord, pencil and paper, cursive instead of print, full service gas stations, Dad home at 5:00 and sing hymns as a family. And….daily homemade bread with GLUTEN!

What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Elizabeth Elliot says that God does not give you grace for your imagination, only grace for the day. She also says when you don’t know what to do, do the next thing and then, the next.
